The Christian English Language Centre is a well-established English language school providing quality English language tuition in a relaxed, friendly environment. Founded as a UK school of English in 1977, Celc was originally located in Bournemouth but moved to a new home in nearby Christchurch in 2006.

Twynham School, Dorset

A highly regarded state secondary school with a long history of buoyant numbers in years 7 – 11. I worked with the senior team to grow the 6th form, first in quality and reputation, and then in size.
Update: After 13 years of input Twynham 6th Form grew from 140 to more than 400 and hit capacity, receiving twice as many applications than it had places.

One of the leading co-educational independent school in Wales. Under the direction of the new headmaster, I oversaw international recruitment. This involved developing a new strategy with short and medium-term goals, drawing upon my relationships with leading recruitment agents and developing an ‘approved representative’ scheme.

Dame Alice Harpur School

A highly regarded all-girls day school in Bedford, led by former president of the GSA, Jill Berry. I conducted a ‘marketing audit’ on their sixth form and produced a comprehensive report incorporating a strategy to improve retention from Y11 and attract external applicants.

A much-loved all-ability intake school in the heart of Bedford, taking girls from Nursery through Year 11 and boys, Nursery through Year 3. I worked with the school for a year, producing a new prospectus and web site, leading a re-branding exercise, coordinating marketing activity and helping to message the arrival of the school’s first Headmaster.

Kingham Hill School, Oxfordshire

An independent School established in 1886, enjoying an idyllic 96-acre Cotswolds site and superb sporting facilities. I am working with the school to define its niche, raise its profile and deliver high quality PR and marketing, enabling the school roll to grow by 50% over a ten year period.
Update: After ten years of involvement the school was in very good shape and within touching distance of its growth target.

Sunninghill Preparatory School

A well established prep school in Dorchester with a new headmaster. I was asked to inject short-term marketing ideas and energy to secure additional pupils for September 2009. On a limited budget we made improvements to the web site, created new advert artwork, incorporated creative low cost promotional activity and hosted a special open morning. The school roll in September was more buoyant than had been anticipated.

The Grange School

A comprehensive secondary school in Christchurch with a good heart but grappling with National Challenge status. I worked alongside the dynamic new head teacher to appraise and re-launch the sixth form and conduct a ‘marketing audit’ on the Y7-11 provision. The school surpassed the targets set by the National Challenge in August 2009.

I worked for with the marketing and sales team for five years looking after media relations and offering a copywriting service.

One of the UK’s premier theological colleges, offering foundation, undergraduate and masters’ programmes. Having looked after all PR and marketing activity, student intake numbers improved by nearly 50%.
